Assistant Manager

Job Description:

The Assistant Manager is the face of Mi-Sant within the team and to our guests. The AM supports all facets of the restaurant's operations dedicated to delivering a warm, authentic, and inspiring environment for both guests and team members. The AM is the key to thoughtful leadership and overall restaurant performance. The AM will work side by side with the FOH Team Members to drive quality, standards, and performance. AMs are passionate about delivering, upholding, and growing Mi-Sant.

Pay Range: $17-$24/plus tips DOE (typically makes $21-$26/hr with tips)

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Leadership Team in ownership of the business and ensure the day-to-day operations run smoothly.

  • Models authentic, warm guest experience and instills great service in the team.

  • Successfully identifies individuals that embody the Mi-Sant values and supports in training new talent to ensure outstanding guest service.

  • Demonstrates people performance management skills

  • Possesses the capability to lead and navigate hard conversations

  • Continuously uphold Mi-Sant brand and standards.

  • Lead team members through effective and efficient operational execution.

  • Ensures Food Safety in the restaurant.

  • Support change management activities to ensure effective and accurate communication of new products and/or changes to operational information.

  • Help control food and labor costs.

Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs (including but not limited to days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and as emergencies arise)

  • Able to work up to eight-hour shifts for extended periods

  • Must have experience in restaurant, hospitality, or previous management experience.

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • High integrity and professionalism
